LAND Sales and Metaverse Expansion
The Sandbox will have Estate and 1×1 LAND auctions on OpenSea starting May 11th through May 15th. These auctions allow participants to seize digital land in The Sandbox metaverse. They enhance positive community development and ignite the development of one-of-a-kind attractions that create memorable experiences.
The Sandbox isn’t merely throwing a bunch of LAND auctions. They're launching more new games, thrilling prizes, fashionable wearables, and unique domains for players to claim coming in late 2023. Earlier this year, on May 31st, The Sandbox announced their collaboration with Monopoly-style metaverse Upland, in an effort to enhance community building and support cross-ecosystem engagement. On the 23rd of April, The Sandbox announced a multi-year agreement with Bruce Lee Enterprises. This immersive partnership marks the entry of the martial arts legend into the metaverse!
On The Sandbox, their fantastic April Festival has just begun! During the next 10 weeks, gamers will be able to take on 500 missions packed with creative action, movement and competition. The platform kicked off the Builder’s Challenge on February 12th. Having a prize pool of 1 million SAND (approximately $475,000) incentivizes creators to design the most interesting and compelling new experiences.
Sandbox is already preparing to release a mobile version of the game in 2024. This groundbreaking new release will increase accessibility and allow users to explore the metaverse on the go! We anticipate that this move will greatly increase the platform’s reach and draw in new users.
Additionally on December 4th, The Sandbox released their first big update to their Game Client.
